I spent five years as the product manager for the stripwound metal hose category, and acted as the primary subject matter expert for the product line.
Inside & Outside Sales Support
Acted as primary sales contact for application assistance and provided customer assistance related to specialty applications. SME for inside sales department when configuring products and performed on-site training.

Traveled to distributor customers to discuss applications and support the sales team during presentations to solve challenging application problems and build customer confidence.

Created regular presentations for the sales manager and executive management team pertaining to market trends and competitor product offerings – identifying gaps and opportunities for new industries, applications, and cost savings.
New Product Development
Collaborated with the engineering department to develop new manufacturing methods to create completely new product lines – Including the ‘Poly-Rex’ product line in both roughbore and smoothbore variants with multiple construction options.

Hose Master is a manufacturer of flexible metal products and has several specialty product categories designed for specific industries. I spent five years as the product manager for the Petroleum Flex Connector industry which included ‘FireShield,’ a certified line of products for commercial and consumer fueling applications. I acted as the primary subject matter expert for the product line with a host of responsibilities pertaining to product management.
Sales Management
Managed an external sales force of over 10 outside representatives specific to the PEI product line. Performed on-site product training for internal and external sales teams.
Sales Analysis & Reporting
Performed routine market analysis for the sales manager based on product type, geographic territory and sales rep group. Developed competitive pricing models and held quarterly & annual meetings with the team to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats as well as new customers and markets.
Competitive Analysis
Created regular reports for the sales manager and executive management team pertaining to market changes and competitor product offerings – identifying gaps and opportunities for new industries, certifications and product applications.
New Product Development
Collaborated with the engineering department and governing bodies (Underwriters Laboratories) to develop testing methods & industry certifications needed to bring the ‘QuickClamp’ product line to market, as well as specialty glue fittings for new applications.
